Michael Charles Brown is a composer, producer and guitarist whose numerous musical endeavors defy strict categorization. From hardcore rock and roll to elaborate electro-accoustic arrangements and minimal ambient soundscapes, his emotive style brings a compelling, cinematic feel to each project.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michael learned to shred on the guitar by age 13 and began producing music with a four-track cassette recorder, using every instrument he could get his hands on. He went on to study Classical Music Theory and Composition at San Francisco State University, and soon after immersed himself in the world of computers and music, experimenting with countless styles and genres. He soon developed a passion for production and scoring to motion picture.

Michael is currently playing in several bands and producing music and sound for film and television, employing a colorful spectrum of musical styles. Projects have aired on Comedy Central and have screened at numerous independent film festivals, including SF Indie Fest. In 2010 he recorded his first record (on 2" analog tape!) with his band Mad Denizen, a dark, progressive acoustic rock band. He now has several new projects in the works and is currently in the studio recording his first solo album.
